Space for the Family

For a dynamic family of four, including two energetic children and their playful dogs, this landscape design and installation project focused on creating a multifunctional outdoor living space that combines beauty, functionality, and family-friendly features.

The centerpiece of the project is a custom-built pool, designed to cater to both relaxation and play. With a shallow entry perfect for children and pets to safely enjoy, the pool transitions into a deeper area for swimming. A surrounding non-slip deck made from durable, high-quality materials ensures safety for all family members, even when wet.

Steps from the kitchen and down the steps from the pool is a beautifully functional grill and counter top area for every outdoor barbecue. Seamlessly integrated into the landscape with natural stone finishes and sleek stainless steel appliances. The design complements the modern aesthetic of the overall space while offering a functional space for outdoor cooking and dining.

details that make the difference

One of the standout elements of this project is the installation of the offset floating concrete steps that connect the the pool to the lower patio. These steps, which appear to hover above the beds and retaining walls, provide a striking visual feature while serving as a practical walkway from the patio to the pool. The custom metal railings carefully designed and placed offset the stairs and pull the space together.

Throughout the space, the design prioritizes durability and aesthetics, using dog-friendly, easy-to-clean materials and incorporating room to play with easy access to the whole yard and the game zone in the garage. This project successfully blends modern design with practical, family-oriented functionality, creating an inviting outdoor oasis for the family to enjoy for years to come.
