Our response to Coronavirus:
To all of our friends and loyal customers. We wanted to keep you all in the loop as we try and navigate how to handle the Coronavirus.
We want to err on the side of caution. We want to be respectful of our team as well as the vulnerable persons in our community and so as of today our office team members will be working remotely for the next few days. As long as our on site crews are healthy and comfortable doing so, they will continue to work on our current projects. We are fortunate that the majority of our team works in an outdoor environment. That being said if your project is current, or upcoming we will probably be seeing some delays due to our current national predicament. Bryan will, if not already, be in contact with you regarding any changes from what has been communicated.
Our in office team members will be working remotely. We will be checking the office phone regularly, but we would recommend using email or cell phone to communicate with our team on any pressing matters.
Thank you so much for your continued support, and we hope and pray that you all stay healthy and safe! We hope that with some extra precaution we can do our part to flatten the curve as soon as possible.
With all of that being said, social distancing and working remotely should distinguish this virus as soon as possible. Whether that be the suggested 2 weeks or longer, let us encourage you, this will end! We understand that you are unable to see past this crisis but let us recommend using this as a time of planning, recouping and quality time!
Corona tips if you are sick:
It is allergy season and the “regular” flu is still going around as well! So if you are feeling ill, definitely stay home and be extra cautious. If you have a fever and/or shortness of breath it is time to reach out to your doctor for what to do next. But I am no expert, here is what the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention lists as the symptoms and recommendations:
Call your doctor: If you think you have been exposed to COVID-19 and develop a fever and symptoms, such as cough or difficulty breathing, call your healthcare provider for medical advice.
The following symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure.*
Fever
Cough
Shortness of breath
*This is based on what has been seen previously as the incubation period of MERS-CoV viruses.
Corona tips if you are healthy:
Whether you are working remotely, or have suddenly a house full of kids
Stay healthy
Limit your exposure to crowds and potential exposure
Stay hydrated and hey, let’s take some Vitamin C and immunity boosters if we’re able!
Set a routine
Especially if the kids are home when they are not normally! Set a wake up time, a creative time, a devices time and family time.
Create activities
We spend way too much time on our devices, so rather than using home time to make our bad habits even worse, get creative! Break out the paint sets, the board games, the deck of cards, the puzzles! Shoot, play hide and seek! Try and limit the screen time and create activities to enjoy the time at home!
get outside
Spring is coming! (This Friday to be exact!) And the temperatures are rising! Get out of the house into your own backyard and get the fresh air! Enjoy your property and the warmer weather
complete a project
If you’re working remotely today, like me, you may have more time at home and realize you have some projects that need to be attended to!
My first recommendation is to try not to look around while you’re actually working. Those of us not used to being on the clock at home are not used to being distracted by the chores of home during our work day! It can feel overwhelming seeing what needs done knowing you have got to keep working for the next 7 hours! Take out a notepad and keep a list of what you see needs to be done as you see it so that you can keep focused on your work.
Then later take the time to complete a few projects around the house! Start with a small project, maybe reorganize the bathroom to start. That way you haven't started a project you cant finish and end up more frustrated than when you started!
plan ahead
Some of those projects you know are too big to handle yourself and you can see where you need help now that you have been at home more.
Maybe when you have been spending more time at home and outside waiting out the virus you see where your property is lacking. That’s the perfect time to call in the experts. We are still planning on spring and summer because we know this crisis will end and we will be ready to move full speed ahead.
In the mean time we can still be working and planning ahead for new projects. We can measure outside, create landscape designs at home, meet with customers over the phone and even work on projects outside! Don’t be afraid to plan past this crisis, and involve us in your planning!
