Daylight savings
Well depending on what camp you’re in, "Fall Back” is either one of your favorite or least favorite days of the year. But whatever camp you’re in, it certainly marks as a transition into winter!
Thom is our go to when it comes to advice and November tips are no different. Basically if “Thom says” it, it must be true. So I’ll quit talking, let’s go to Thom and his November “to do list.”
Winter prep
Prep any plants or trees for winter weather
Deer fortification
It is time to put up any deer fencing etc.
Plant spring bulbs
Now is the time to plan for spring! Get those tulips dandelions etc bulbs into the ground now and reap your reward this spring!
Water feature prep
Freezing temperature are approaching so it is time to winterize, drain etc your water features.
Adjust timers
With the time change it is time to adjust your lighting timers! The sun will be rising and setting an hour earlier. The days are continuing to get shorter as well so your lighting will need to be adjusted accordingly
Irrigation winterization
Make sure any irrigation lines are insulated and drained
Fall decorations
Take down the jack-o-lanterns, but leave the pumpkins! For November add some gourds and mums for a more November feeling.
