What the pets can and cannot eat this Thanksgiving

Who would we be if we forgot the pets this holiday? Do not feed them anything unsafe for them, that's not worth it. But there are foods they can have that are good for them!

You don’t have to break the rules, just put it right into their bowl, separate from your own meal time. That way you do not break the "we don't feed our dog table scraps so they don't beg" rule.

DO FEED:

  1. Apples

  2. Carrots

  3. Cranberries

  4. Green beans

  5. Mashed Potatoes

  6. Pumpkin

  7. Sweet Potatoes

  8. Yams

  9. Turkey (white meat)

For the “do feeds” remember your pet could be allergic to something on this list. And if your pet hasn’t had these items fresh before, only introduce a few at a time. These should all be fed plain and in moderation to your pets as well. Pull some out to serve it to the pets before you add the “good stuff.”

DO NOT FEED:

  1. Alcohol

  2. Baked Sweets

  3. Cooked Bones (this is true of any bones, when they are cooked they become brittle and can be easily broken and become dangerous)

  4. Corn on the cob

  5. Garlic

  6. Grapes

  7. Gravy

  8. Mushrooms

  9. Nuts

  10. Onions

  11. Sage

  12. Stuffing

  13. Raisins

  14. Turkey Skin

We hope you have an enjoyable Thanksgiving celebrating with friends and family, and the pets of course!
